I'm baaaaaack!

Hi all! Sorry for being MIA but I just came back from a whirlwind trip to FL and NJ.

Lee, Caleb and I spent 3 days in Tally before heading to gorgeous St. Teresa beach in the Florida panhandle. I luckily got to see my mom and a few friends (but not nearly enough!) in Tally for the few days before the beach. I also got to visit with my aunt Kay before she went to Cali to meet her new granddaughter (more on that later...). As always, it wasn't even close to enough time to visit with everyone.

We then spent a week at St. Teresa with my dad, Kels, James, Stephen, Becca, and my very awesome and entertaining nephew James and niece Grace. It was such a wonderful week and reminded me how much family really means to me.

After the beach, Lee headed back to London (well, after a day delay thanks to weather) and Caleb and I headed to NJ to see Lee's family. I had such a great time with the Goldblatts, Greenwalds, Rothmans and cousin Terri. I got to see an adorably pregnant Jill and our hilarious niece Madison (seriously- this kid cracks me up!). And I got a lesson in fire response safety thanks to Marty's overzealous cooking. Wendy and I had a great time running errands and drinking wine together.

To all my NY/NJ friends, I'm so sorry I didn't get to see anyone but my 3 short days were filled with visiting family (and, I'm not going to lie, shopping for Caleb). I also didn't have much internet access and will reply to all those emails as soon as possible!

Below are several pics from our trip. Love you all and can't wait for Christmas when I get to see everyone again!

My best friend Caroline finally got to meet her nephew! The next day, Caleb pooped on her which was his own special way of saying "I love you!"

Caroline realizes she's been pooped on

My oldest (as in the person I've known the longest...she's not "old" by any means!) and dear friend Kimberly also got to meet Caleb. And I got to spend time with her fabulous sons, Jack (3) and Tyler (10 months). Full acknowledgment- I stole this photo and the next from her blog!

Here's me and CSG with Kimberly's oldest son, Jack. Check out Jack's delicious smile and my new haircut! I couldn't deal with Caleb yanking on my hair anymore so I went for a massive chop (and donated my ridiculously long hair to Locks of Love).

My friend Caroline Weiss with her adorable twins Carson and Alden.

I'm convinced Carson and Caleb are actually the twins...

Here's Matt Taylor (my adopted brother) and dad having a good laugh.

Smiley and silly face James

I promised Grace a Sleeping Beauty baseball bat for her birthday. Apparently they only make Cinderella baseball bats. So we got stickers and made our own...

  2. MER! I have a suspicion that you put the pic of Caleb chewing on his foot for me. If not, I still enjoyed it. Let me know if you want me to send along a few Blues Clues DVDs. I'm headed back to the US tomorrow after 2 months in SE Asia. You guys are awesome. I love reading the updates.
