On the Caleb front, I wasn't too busy to try making a little homemade baby food for my amazing son. I decided carrots would be a good first veggie because they are sweet but not as sweet as most fruits.
It was pretty spectacular and by the end of the feeding he had carrots everywhere- even in his hair, on his eyebrow and up his nose.
Caleb has now tried avocado, pear, banana, carrots and rice cereal- all of which he's loved- and apples, which he didn't care for. I refuse to give up on the apple front so he'll try it again this weekend. In the freezer waiting for him are butternut squash, peas and broccoli.
I pray he's a good eater. Cooking is my absolute favorite thing to do and it makes me so happy to be able to prepare food for him. I think he will be a good eater because he likes to help guide my hand to his mouth and will turn to me right away for more (plus, his mama and daddy are pretty much gluttonous piggies, so it's in his genes...).
Anyway, here are some pictures of Caleb enjoying his carrots. The awesome highchair is from Ms. Rozi and Aunt Becca and Uncle Stephen (thanks, y'all!). I'm so happy we get to use it now!
The chef (with no makeup...aren't I brave??)
I can do it, mama

Believe it or not, this all came out in the wash!
Finally, an update. Keep cooking, you can make some for me at Christmas. Miss you!
